I have been an artist since 1979. Having taught myself what I know technically about art, I have no academic dogma or constraints to my ongoing exploration of the two-dimensional picture-plane.

I sometimes feel like the bearded "wild man" of Northern Michigan art, as my work takes me farther and farther away from the typical "view of the bay" that one sees in all the galleries around us.

I will never exhaust my interest in these concerns, and I hope not the interest of the viewer.

I have shown my work all over the state and as far away as New York and Minnesota. My work has been included in many juried shows and has been singled out for special honors.

I think the new milleniumn will open up more and greater opportunities for the study and portrayal of the human condition, and I look forward to the creative challenges that I set for myself in the arts.
